We developed a concept for the primary function of a gaming console interface. For navigation, we were allowed to use only six buttons.
The focus of our project was on quick and easy operation. We realized this with a fast menu which can be called up with a button on the controller.
With this fast menu it is easy to get from any place of the console to the desired menu item.
Selected elements of the menu are highlighted by a frame, size or a higher opacity. In addition, all levels in the settings are visible at a glance. This should provide the user with a better overview of nested contents and simplify the operating concept. The final setting is made in a pop-up window.
